About Deonta Barnes
Deonta Barnes has a multi-faceted professional services company and media brand founded by himself (also known as "Talent"). Based on his life story as an HIV survivor and entrepreneur, the company serves as an umbrella for a wide array of creative and business ventures. with over 26 trades in multiple states and one country. He began his career at a young age, before he knew his destiny; God knew. Deonta Barnes started his career working at Chuck E. Cheese. Then he had a dream to be a security officer, and that's exactly what he pursued with the help of some major family members. He made a dream a reality, becoming a security officer and working in various fields and locations across Virginia and beyond. In 2013, Deonta decided to move out of his parents' house and see the world from his own view by getting his own place. That same year, he became sick, leading him to lose his place and have to live with family and friends. But the resilience stayed with him. Deonta was determined that after losing everything he had, he would get everything back and more. He began leaning on his gift, which was business. He then started DJing to make a living for himself. But who knew that a man named DJ Talent, working at a local strip club, would start a new journey and career as a DJ, traveling around the world and performing at local events and parties, making a name he could look back on with pride.
In 2020, Deonta began to push a business he created in high school, which he has since run for over 17 years; this business would allow him to never lose what he had worked so hard for. He began as a CEO and entrepreneur, opening multiple businesses, but the main one was Deonta Barnes LLC & Talent Of All Trades, where he had 26+ trades doing multiple things, such as credit repair, real estate, notary, event and security services, taxes, motivational speaking, virtual admin services, podcast production, and much more, with nine employees. His slogan was 'one man, one dream with many trades.'
Deonta Barnes decided to step out on faith and become an advocate for a health condition that he had no control over, but he wanted to make a positive impact on multiple people's lives worldwide. Although he feared judgment and people looking at him differently, Deonta Barnes never let anyone deter him from the mission he was called to do by God. He began telling his story worldwide, publishing five different articles in New York Weekly, New York Wire, two with IssueWire, Gather Virginia, and Daily Scanner, including one magazine publication with IssueWire. Deonta never let life defeat him, even when he had a stroke, an appendix removed, a hip replacement, and two brain tumors, which only gave him fuel to do what he had to do. This young man is the definition of resilience.
